As the day of Ian and Mandy's wedding dawns, a desperate Lucy issues her father with an ultimatum - he must choose her or Mandy. Who will he choose, and will the wedding go ahead?

Ian wakes Mandy; he’s prepared her favourite childhood breakfast. Mandy and Ian’s wedding clothes and accessories are lined up meticulously. Lucy throws Mandy’s ring down a drain. Max organises post-wedding drinks in the Vic. Phil visits Ian, Ian insists he can keep his mouth shut. Seeing the wedding Rolls Royce, Janine demands Ian pay the cash he owes her by 5 o’clock. Ian panics when he sees the car and driver, paranoid about Phil’s intentions. Realising Lucy’s stolen Mandy’s ring, Ian takes Cindy’s ring from a box of Lucy’s things. Mandy appears in her wedding dress and Lucy destroys her bouquet. Agitated, Ian crams Cindy’s ring on Mandy’s finger and announces they’re going to the register office early. Lucy gives Ian an ultimatum – her or Mandy. Mandy’s shocked when Ian chooses her and throws Lucy out, giving her the last of his cash. Ian, in his dressing gown, visits the Vic to retrieve his cash from Lucy to buy a new, pathetic, bouquet. Phil attempts to get Ian outside but backs off when Ian threatens to tell everyone what he and Ben did. Ian returns home to find Mandy dressed normally and about to leave. Ian begs Mandy to change her mind and follows her out onto Bridge Street. Mandy admits she thought she could make herself love Ian but she can’t. Everyone watches as Ian falls to his knees pleading. Saddened, Mandy walks away. Lucy takes Ian home and asks him to make Bobby pancakes. She goes to the Vic for advice. Ian drops Cindy’s ring into the sizzling batter before leaving the house. Phil tells Lucy to call him if Ian does anything strange. Lucy returns home to find Ian gone. Unbeknownst to her, barefoot and in his dressing gown, Ian wanders along the side of a busy dual carriageway.
